Freguently Asked Questions

 Setup, Planning, Deadlines & Printing

Getting Started

Who is my yearbook specialist, and how do I reach them?

Jenna Bryan can be contacted at 409-656-0579 or via email at jenna@traditionsyearbooks.com.

When can we set up our 2026–2027 yearbook project?

As soon as you’re ready. There’s no waiting period! Just let Jenna know, and she’ll get the project started.

What do I need to do to set up our project and
online store?

Two forms need to be completed:

1.  2026–2027 Yearbook Project Setup Request Form

2. 2026–2027 Yearbook Online Store Setup Form

Once those are submitted, your Memento project and online ordering will be live.

Where do I log in to the design software?

Yearbook design happens in Memento at books.yearbooks.me/login

Where do I track online sales and manage proofs?

The Adviser Dashboard at dashboard.studiosourceyearbooks.com/login handles online sales tracking, deadline management, and proof review.

Where are the promotional flyers?

They’ve already been saved to the shared Google Drive (the Yearbook Toolkit). If your school has a new yearbook adviser this year, Jenna will make sure they get access to the Drive.

Theme & Page Planning

When should we choose our yearbook theme?

Late August or early September is ideal. Picking a theme early gives your staff time to build pages around it.

How do we start organizing our pages?

Once your Memento project is set up, you can begin laying out pages. A great starting point is using last year’s yearbook as a guide for page layout and organization.

Do we have to meet with our specialist about the theme or page plan?

No, meeting with Jenna is completely optional. That said, she’s happy to help brainstorm ideas, organize pages, or work on your cover design whenever you’d like.

Can Traditions design our cover for us?

Yes. Jenna or one of the Traditions graphic designers can create your cover. They’ll need a few ideas about the look, feel, or theme you’re going for.

Is there anywhere to see examples of covers?

Yes, the Cover Gallery on the Traditions website has examples to browse for inspiration.

Deadlines

How is our deadline schedule determined?

Your schedule is built backward from the delivery date your school requests. Once Jenna knows when you’d like your books delivered, she’ll set your final submission deadline.

Are there deadlines throughout the year we have to hit?

No. Traditions only sets the final submission deadline. However, it’s highly recommended that you create smaller internal deadlines for your yearbook students to keep the project on track.

What happens if we miss the final submission deadline?

There are no late fees or penalties. The only consequence is that printing and delivery will be pushed back.

Proofing & Printing

Should our principal review the book before we submit?

Yes — it’s recommended that your principal review the yearbook one to two weeks before your submission deadline, so there’s time to make changes.

What does Traditions check before printing?

After you submit, the Traditions team completes one final review looking for:

• Spelling mistakes

• Copyrighted images or content

• Design elements too close to the page edge that may be

trimmed during printing

What if they find a problem?

Traditions will let you know so it can be corrected before the book goes to print.

What happens after the proof is approved?

The book moves into production at the printing facility, and Traditions coordinates delivery to your school.

Ordering & Delivery

When do we have to give our final order quantity?

Not until your proof is approved and you’re ready to print. At that point, you’ll submit the Order Authorization Form with your final page count and copy count.

Where do families order yearbooks?

Parents and students can find your school’s online store by searching at shop.yearbookmarket.com.

Do we have to hand out every book at school?

Not necessarily — Traditions offers a ship-to-home program. Ask Jenna for details.

What binding options are available?

Hard cover, saddle-stitch soft cover, and perfect-bound soft cover. Schools can also use multiple binding types.

Support & Training

What kind of support do we get during the year?

Traditions specialists are available for ongoing consultation, design help, and technical support — in person or online — from theme creation through the final page.

Is there training for new advisers or staff?

Yes. Advisers and staff receive hands-on training in the design software, and Traditions offers free adviser workshops during the year.

Does Traditions help with selling yearbooks?

Yes. Automated email marketing to parents and guardians runs in the background, and ready-to-use promotional materials are provided, allowing advisers to focus on building the book.
